On this show, you will join Dr. Tim Weir as he sits with his friend, Dr. Ed Paul in Wilmington, NC.   Ed Paul, OD, PHD, PA is one of the leading experts in the field of Macular Degeneration.   This disease of the eyes has often left people without any hope.   During this show, you will find that there is hope.  

In the "Time for You" segment, you will join the Weir family at some of their favorite spots in the Wilmington/Carolina Beach area.   If you love animals, you don't want to miss Tregembo Animal Park.  You will love the fact that the animals are within inches of your reach.   We will have lunch at the Indochine Thai/Vietnamese restaurant...this is a gorgeous place....but very family friendly.   Finish up the day on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and find two places where Dr. Weir sins frequently.  (one deals in gelato and the other one out of this world donuts.)   Listen, it is important for you to eat right 99.99% of the time....but sometimes you just have to have something wrong!!!!

BRITTS DONUTS:  This place is sinful.  This place has the best donuts in the world.  Seriously....they will put you into a diabetic coma faster than anything around....but it will be the best diabetic coma that you have ever been in.   They have been around for years, and they are seasonal...so they are not going to be around the boardwalk during the winter months.   Here is Dr. Weir's advice: "Only have one!  Well, two at the most".  

GREAT SOUTHERN FOOD:    A& G Bar-B-Q and chicken.   This is located in Carolina Beach at 800 S. Lake Park Blvd.   If you like southern fried chicken, Bruswick Stew and delicious vegetables....you need to stop in here.   This is one of Dr. Weir's favorite "Hidden Secrets".   Come hungry and bring cash (they don't take credit cards)
